G. Monson gives advice to BYU fans

From his radio show. He says that BYU fans should either go to the pUke-TCU game or stay home and watch it on tv instead of attending the BYU-UNLV game. His argument is that the pUke-TCU game is the biggest football game in the history of the state and BYU fans will be missing out by attending the BYU-UNLV game.



Personally I would rather watch a winless BYU team play a winless UNLV team in a -10 degree blizzard then watch a undefeated pUke team play an undefeated TCU team at Rice Chex. ESPECIALLY when the 2 games are being played at the same time.

Agreed, it has been a tough year with this young offense but I would rather be 3-5 and be a BYU fan then 7-0 and be a utah fan.

Well, we all know G. monson is no cougar fan. Fans of a school support the teams no matter what.



That was the stupidest thing I've heard Monson say.

I can't think of anything I want to do less than attend a Utah game that doesn't involve BYU.

I don't know af any cougar fan who would take advise from G. Monson anyhow.

My advice to cougar fans, ignore Monson. There is absolutely zero redeeming value in anything he writes.

If were T. Monson, speaking with authority, I would consider it, but I would have to have a special fast this Sunday to confirm it, which would be too late btw.



But it ain't, so........... meh, consider the source.

Not sure why Monson would think your average BYU fan would give a care about the Utah TCU game unless it was to hope to see Utah lose.



Monson is like your annoying older brother that just pokes and prods at you, hoping to get a rise out of you, and hoping that you get grounded when he does.

G. Monson is King Douche. I never heed a word he says.

Wow... that's the stupidest advice I've ever heard. As a college football fan, it would be interesting, sure. But if your team has a game at the same time, you don't miss your team's game to go to a "game of interest." It would be like telling Michigan fans to go to the Ohio State-Michigan State game because it's the biggest Big Ten game of the year. Or Georgia fans to go to the Alabama-Auburn game...

It's only a big game if you believe that this Utah team is forreal; but anyone with a brain knows they're the fortunate recipients of a cushy and timely schedule and TCU will roll them.



Monson is a no talent fire starter.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think I'd rather go watch Minnesota State take on Michigan Tech in the UP at the end of November without a shirt on than going up and associating myself with yewtah and TCU fans...What a terrible mix of people...



I used to not be a huge Monson hater, but I will now refuse to look at his column after that kind of a comment. The only advice he gives comes straight from his a$$.

If I said it once, I've said it a million times. Gordon Monson is really Al Gore. He needs his 2nd chacra released and that can actually happen for him at the U of U. He also tends to believe anything he writes or says regardless of its veracity. For him, the mere fact that he has said it, makes it the truth.



Gordon Monson's brain is as open as Harline in the U's end zone.



I really do hope that the Utes get to go to the Vegas Bowl and play TCU or Air Force their 1st year in the Pac 12.

It's sort of like me telling Tribune subscribers to read the Church News because everything there is more important than what is in the Tribune...well maybe not...still....

Monson makes the mistake of assuming that BYU fans are like Utard fans: he thinks we care about Utard football. Got news for you, Moronson, no matter how down we are, we will never magically transform into the little brother. The only attention that I'll pay to Utah-TCU is the final score, I'll be watching the Cougs and games from other conferences on Saturday.
