Rank our Winnable games

I'm already conceding a loss to Utah. I didn't think we'd beat them before the season, I don't think we'll beat them now. Going to a bowl game is very important because this team could use the extra reps. So how do you rank the next three games? From toughest to easiest.



1. Colorado St. It's on the road. The Rams hate us and like Utah State would like to beat us more than anyone - except maybe Wyoming. It's possibly the last time we'll ever play too, they'll be plenty ready for this game and we've not shown well on the road.



2. UNLV. It's at home. We've had a bye week to prepare. They're coming off a shellacking (which isn't anything new), and we should be able to run all over them.



3. New Mexico. They are quite possibly the worst team in the nation. It's at home. They don't do anything well. They're closest loss was at their rival New Mexico St where they lost by two. They're only chance is to have Elizabeth Lambert play defense on Ashworth and have him fumble the ball to her and then block for her as she returns it for several TDs.

Agreed. And their freshman qb is better than ours. I'm just sayin.....:-)

Ok maybe their OC and receivers are too, but....

This young team doesn't know how to win on the road. We win our final 2 home games, we lose our final 2 road games. Jake heaps never breaks a 110 per in any of our final 4 games.

Agree. I give us about a 10% chance of beating CSU on the road.

I would put beating CSU closer to 50%. Their offence is run heavy, which with Bronco running the defense, is our strength. Their defense was not overly impressive against New Mexico yesterday, in the portion of the game I saw. The bye-week and UNLV will give the offence some confidence.



Utah maybe valuerable. They may have been looking forward to TCU, but the Utah team that played yesterday was beatable. The key to victory is not turning the ball over. It's still only a 1% chance, but the game is in a month, and a lot can happen before then.

New Mexico almost beat us last year at their crib. That became a missed opportunity for BYU to develop players for 2010. BYU has had that one circled all year and Jake Heaps had a NM helmet in his locker until OC took it out and tried to tell Bronco Mendenhall that Jake was looking ahead to the detriment of the team. Anae will try to screw this one up, but Doman will tell Jake to ignore Anae and give it to Juice on every play.



BYU wins 27-25 on a blocked field goal with 40 seconds left leaving UNM fans wondering why their coach bet the farm on one kick from the 20 without trying a couple of throws to the end zone first.



100% win



UNLV - see above - 75% chance of winning or better. BYU 26. UNLV 20 when UNLV fails on a 2-point conversion. BYU chokes the UNLV running game but gives up a couple of late first half TD passes over the top. UNLV's other score is on a Pick 6 by Lark. UNLV fumbles what should have been another pick 6 from Munns and Luke Ashworth recovers the fumble to seal the win.



CSU on the road proves too much for BYU and BYU loses "On The Road Again" as predicted by Riley's uncle, Willie Nelson. BYU had a 30% chance of pulling off an upset but lost.



BYU defense steps up Vs Utah and James Lark exposes Utah's vulnerability to deep passes on play action and Jacobsen takes two to the house.



BYU wins an improbable (10%) game BYU 14 Utah 13 on a last minute defensive stand.

That is ridiculous. I am all for being realistic but a ten percent chances is just stupid. Your credibility is going out the window.
