turning point?

So I noticed today that our old O-line coach (Jeff Grimes) is now at Auburn. And we all know how that team is doing. First I'm going to say I'm not trying to throw our current o-line coach under the bus. The o-line is but one of the many facets of the offense that haven't lived up to expectations. But I have to wonder if Jeff Grimes could be getting more out of these guys. I remember after Grimes left that the O-line and offense in general took a step back (07).



Anyone regret losing this guy or is he just another Crowton that needed a change of scenery to bloom again. Anyway, good for Grimes. Maybe we can lure him back to be our O-cord someday if Anae really is a dead man walking (as so many seem to believe). But Auburn is about as good as it gets for college football.

Grimes was an awesome coach.

Who went to Colorado and how is he doing? Oh yea...

I cried for a week when Grimes left. We haven't recovered from his departure.

Only issue I have had with our O line this year is the # of false starts. If they cut those out, they have been a solid group this year. I think the O line coach is doing well with them--they just need to get mentally tougher is all becuse they are physically able and have shown it.

I've wondered if John Tait would be interested in coaching the O line.

Any Poor performance from O-line is attributable to disunity, disharmony, and disinterest, which in large part Is about disunity among offensive coaches. . The run game improved bc the Oline got unified behind it and got after it AND/OR they just plain believed in the)'s to play hard--sort of their "vote of confidence" in the run game.

Webber is a great guy and it seems at least a solid coach--and good enough. The problems are more broad than just technique.
