Which bowl as an Independent do we need?

Thinking about who we should strike a deal with. I think we should get a deal with the Holiday Bowl using ESPN's help. One reason is nostalgia. We built the bowl and it is the site of our NC in 1985. We could guarantee a sell out and the fans would travel well there. We could take the Big12 side of the agreement since they have lost 2 league teams. The deal could say that BYU would have to ranked in the top 20 to get the invite. That would be okay.

Something tells me, the highest bidder won't necessarily land BYU.



Right now Bronco and Holmoe are on this "East Coast" thing. I bet that plays into it more than the money.

That could be true. Either way, my point was that BYU is going to end up in a decent bowl somewhere.

Doesn't matter, I'm just worried about qualifying now.

Next year we start 1-3 at best. It's hard to argue otherwise.

The neat thing is that BYU has huge balls and ute "fans" just have to hate us more for that, point is BYU makes lots of money between Aug-Nov, and a bowl will add to it a little or a bit more than that. We don't need the BcS anymore as the amount expected is phenomenal, after 3 years, the BcS will need BYU. Das right.

This year we are in the MWC and their bowl agreements. Independence starts next year. We might have to wait until the bowl agreements expire to really get our deal for our bowl home. I much prefer the Holiday over the Las Vegas bowl at LES-South.

Independence Bowl has a ring to it



San Diego or other So Cal would be nice. AZ or Hawaii nice enough.



With our schedule and likely losses, Poinsettia may be the best we can hope for.
