Davis DE -- Troy Hinds -- 2012

Has Hinds mentioned anything about BYU??? I'm kinda curious how much he likes BYU.



His most recent offer came from Stanford's Jim Harbaugh himself. Then the one before that was from UCLA's Rick Neuheisel. He has a total of ten right now AND I don't see that stopping any time soon, either. Especially with Stanford and UCLA liking him a lot, which tells me, other schools will follow.

He is an LDS kid, and I think has interest in BYU, but from what I have read, he is leaning Nebraska at this point in time.

That sucks. Hope Bronco can persuade him to come to the Y, or who ever it is, that's recruiting him.



One thing I don't get... We've kinda struggled landing high profile LDS athletes(minus last year). Las year, we recruited one stellar guy in Jake Heaps AND he did the rest of the recruiting for us.



Is it Bronco's personality that scares other kids away???



That works with some kids, like Kyle Van Noy. KVN had the chance to go some where else after his DUI, but chose to wait a year and enroll then.



I respect Bronco putting his foot down, when it comes to Honor Code, but did that scare Manti Teo away???

If a kid can't live the honor code it's better for him to be scared away before he comes to BYU rather than have to deal with the mess early.

Exactly. Totally agree. So is that it... These high profile studs like to play ball during the week then go on beer runs over the weekend?



I don't think all these high profile guys break the HC. I'm just stumped.



Granted... I can see these in state guys wanting to see the world so they pick a distant land. Like some corn infested field and go with Nebraska. Or want to see what a true tree hugger looks like in its natural habitat and choose Stanford.
