I Love Heaps

"Heaps of Pizza" that is. All these threads started making me hungry for pizza and then I figured out why. Brick Oven used to be Heaps Pizza. Thats one thing i miss about provo. Their root beer is really good too. Now this Heaps is a definite winner.



Now all the anti-heaps people ... Flame away! Anyway you can spin this into a Lark/Munns could do better thread?

Heaps a Pizza was the best ever

I enjoy that establishment as well, though I admit, I normally get the salad/pasta bar when I go rather than the pizza.



Finally a Heaps that is living up to it's potential! :D

The old Heaps was better. The new Heaps-- Brick Oven--is not even close to the same quality and never will be.

I think the old manager needs to go. He's too set in his ways. But they have a way cool assistant manager who would do amazing at running the place.

I also hear they have problems in the receiving department. Ya, they are pissed that food delivery truck company has some new rookie driver and they want the old driver back. I hear they almost went on strike. Ya, their complaint is that the delivery guy drives too hard on his approach and they cant catch stuff falling out of the back of the truck. One of the employees even told the boss that the rookie driver was the real problem and he got fired. He had a major attitude problem, so most were glad he's gone.

I also hear the the waitresses up front act disinterested half the time and the other half the time they are jumping the gun when taking orders; AND they just wont perform unless they get the shifts they want.

But, there is hope. the owner showed up recently and started yelling at the employees. He even fired one of the assistant managers and is now taking that shift. So, all the employees are on their toes and things could turn around--if they could just get rid of that petulant rookie driver.

Yeah, I hear sometimes that delivery driver is supposed to deliver the food to the receiving dock, but sometimes he puts it up on the roof, and sometimes in the parking lot. But man oh man does he get it there quick ;)

That driver is 16 and just got his license, so lets cut him some slack. He was won of the best delivery drivers when he had his learners permit last year.



I heard that customers are still showing up even though one of the assistant managers has a predictable menu.

There is a problem however with the customers throwing rotten tomatoes at the delivery driver. They think he should be able to win the nascar championship this year!

great addition Hawk--i liked that.

When customers saw the delivery driver's excpetional skill driving go-carts, they assumed he would be a great truck driver. Trucks are bigger and faster than anything he has driven before. He will bump a curb & dent a fender or two, but he will get the hang of truck driving.

Man you guys are hilarious...great thread to lighten up the situation. I think things will eventually slow down for the delivery boy and then he'll stop delivering to the roof :o)

I noticed they started serving burgers and hotdogs for awhile, but it didn't mix well with the pizza so their back to just making pizza. Unfortunately the assistant manager in charge of making the pizzas is afraid of messing up the orders and is only allowing customers two toppings max. Occasionally he'll sprinkle a third topping on but it usually misses and only gets on part of the pizza and it's usually not the topping the customer prefers so the manager told him to just stick with the two topping thing.



Maybe in a few weeks they'll be back to making combo pizzas again.

Well, for some reason the ingredients they have been using have ben less than stellar, making the pizza not quite as good. you can have the best sauce or chees in the world, but if the pepperoni, mushorroms, olives are rotten, the pizza will suck. So yeah, lots of things go into making a great pizza.

Let's not forget the rest of the story:



Because the new delivery guy was a little erractic with his deliveries the patrons of the restuarant wanted to try another delivery guy just on a Lark, but because he had a 2 year leave of absence the boss decided to be Munns with the whole thing. Others thought the new guy would be fine if he had his recommended helping of Juice because people thought his other two drinks were like a bad case of DiKariya that just ran through you and wasn't good for anything and just left a Heaps on the ground afterward.



So they decided perhaps it would work better if they gave it to the special delivery guy, but that guy seemed to always be in the bosses Chambers, and when confronted with a prank he pulled, he said the story wasn't true and people were saying Falslev things about him. The boss still decided to pull his license because the special delivery guy was such a big Payne. The special delivery guy said Holt on a minute because he was bringing in the best wood for the fires to bake the pizza and wanted to know is the wood Ashworth the trouble. The boss said most of the time it seems like it is Ashworthless but the last batch was pretty good.



In his defense he said there is probably a better wood out there and it is from that new Ogletree which is a really Stout wood and should be really good in the future. His suggestion was if he used this he could become very Rich or at least have a lot of Gaines where everyone would be happy because then they would be able to buy a vehicle, the new Van Noys and they could Eason down the road and everyone lived happily ever after.

Not bad. Not bad at all! BUt dont you think you are buckin the system a little bit? ;-) You also seem to be in a little DeAnael.

If they just let the new guy sit down with Jim McMahon and enjoy an APPLE BEER and a MIRACLE BOWL of the old original ham and Cheese salad with the Thousand Island dressing and the tried and true Pepperroni pizza with extra cheese - he would be able to make passes at any of the pretty girls and MIRACLES would happen for him too!
