BYU's 1st drive, 2 passes, 8 rushes, TD.

BYU's 2nd drive, 1 pass, 2 rushes.

BYU's 3rd drive, 1 pass, 4 rushes, TD.

BYU's 4th drive, 4 passes, 7 rushes, punt on 4th and 1 after a penalty.

BYU's last drive: 5 passes, 5 rushes. Pick 6.

Dumb Anae is beginning to second-guess the working running game already...

Gotta keep em honest. Yeah, that pick six was ALL anae's fault. He probably didn't teach Heaps to not throw it directly to a lineman in wide open spaces.

kslsports End of first quarter. #BYU up 16-0 and running game looks unstoppable.

kslsports Another dropped pass by #BYU. #Heaps shows his frustration.

kslsports Andrew Rich almost picks off Wyoming pass. Cowboys punt. #BYU gets ball back. Let's not forget the running game just because Y is up 16

kslsports Questionable pass interference call keeps #BYU drive alive.

kslsports #Heaps throw horrible interception that Wyoming returns for TD and gets Cowboys back in the game. #BYU 16-7

kslsports After fast start, #BYU offense struggling. Bad throws, bad penalties. Cougars need to finish half with points

3.7 yards per pass.

4.4 yards per run.

Does Anae come out running to start the 3rd quarter, like he did the 1st, or does he come out passing against the worst run D in the nation, like he did in the 2nd, when everything went to hell??

P.S. My patience with Heaps is starting to wear thin, true freshman or not...

The drive with the passes was going well until the int, I think you have to let Heaps throw a little or he won't have the experience and confidence to lead the team for the next three years. However, if he continues to make such poor decisions and throws, we'll have to find someone else, so it wouldn't matter anyway.

Both TD drives, the pass to throw ratio was 1:4. The INT drive was 1:1. Anae tends to go away from what works far too quickly. This game isn't a guaranteed win. I'd hate to lose a game because we were using it as practice.

Agreed, but who saw the #1 QB recruit in the nation throwing THAT pick, the play call itself was fine.

I don't know who put me in charge of stating the obvious today, but so far I'm doing a great job!

Execution on the pass that drive. 3 passes, 3 completions, 40 yards. All to Luke Ashworth! Shocking.

Add in 3 good rushes and a 15 yard Wyoming penalty and that = Touchdown! Much needed too.

JJ drops a tipped pass for the 2-point conversion.

Amazing what can happen when Anae lets Heaps throw it down field and our receivers actually create space and catch the ball when it hits them in the hands. Who would've thought, right? :bug:

But I thought that Anae was going to pass it all game, and that would be a bad thing, and that you were betting a thousand dollars on it? So, Heaps threw 3 for 3 for 40 yards to wide open receivers and a TD on that drive, and threw for 48 yards and a touchdown to a wide open D-End on another, I'd say it's a wash.
