ND 3 for 3?

drewjay BYU's announcement about Notre Dame series says three games will be played in Provo, three in South Bend.

He corrected it. It 4 and 2 as thought--unfortunately. After this ends, we better sew up a rotation every other year.

4-2 blows. Maybe 3-2 would have been ok. Will we get a lot of $$$ for the 4 games on NBC?

that does blow! Kind of like the 14 generations that were assured tickets on the east side for a parsely 10k back in whenever, 1980.

its called, "we need it so bad, we will take IT wherever you want to take it to, IMPERPETUITY."" I like most of TH's moves. hated this one. And I dont care how nice the dang ND fans allegedly are reported to be.

I hope like hello that if we are at ND in 2012, that we play them again in South Bend in 2013 so that the 2014 game isn't a home game for ND. We need them at LES in 2014. That would be an almost impossible road schedule for 2014 otherwise. We have to remember too that it is six games spread from 2012 to 2020, so there is apparently 2 years we don't play. I can't imagine Holmoe would schedule any more 2014 road games at anyone like ND with what we have scehduled already, but a 2013 game also in South Bend is doable so far.

Now get ND to LES in 2014 and I can live with that. Hopefully by the end of this contract in 2020, BYU will have 20-20 vision and be in a position to demand 1 for 1 and quit this two-fer nonsense.



Man, I have to say that I hope these future schedules bring in the right recruits because it's one thing to build a nice schedule, but if you lose consistently, I don't know what you have gained.

2014-- 2-3 at best. more like 1-4. Nice schedule TH. You will not find me on any of the scheduling threads begging for better schedules. Exposure is still at least somewhat based on wins and success.

Wow, half the MWC teams don't have stadiums as large as ND had back in 1930--80 years ago.



I still remember the last time we played ND in Provo and one of the other writers (Aaron King) writing with me on CougarBlue wrote an article on ND and while we used to hope for maybe 1,500 to 2,500 hits or more on one of our articles, King's had like 8,500 in one day. ND's fan base is enormous.

Then it goes on to say:

The other four games in the six-game series will be played between 2014 and 2020. Two of the remaining games will be at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, and the other two in South Bend. Details will be announced at a later date

So EM Puma boy... That's one less thing you can complain about with Tom Holmoe and scheduling.

My point was, which issue wasn't answered yet in what you quote or has been posted, was if we play ND in 2014, it had better be in LES because of our current road schedule. If that is viewed as complaining, then yes I'm complaining and I'm hoping TH hears me.

4 and 2 gives me 4 chances to road trip to South Bend. I don't care when or where we play ND, I'm just happy to play them.

It was something like this

I don't want to see one more 2 fer 1 with anyone even if we have to play New Mexico State every week.



It is foolish to play so many tough teams in one year as are being scheduled - much less play them on the road 2/3 of the time.

Agreed. This is so "little brother"/ "pick me! pick me! pick me!" it makes me sick. Does BYU and the Athletic Department or the Church need the $ that bad? Probably not. I guess if this is all for the sake of Exposure, I guess I can accept that, barely--like I have any say.

I think this is just transition into independent. We got some top games even though we gave up a couple 2 for 1's. These have established us. I don't think we will see any more 2 for 1's (at least I hope). We have made quite a splash and quieted the MWC who said who will play BYU?
