Chambers deserved it (inside scoop)

Just heard that OC basically head butted a roommate and the roomy had to go to the hospital. When Bronco found out, he called him in and asked OC to go clean out his locker then to come see him. Appears that OC went to Heaps locker, cleaned it out and took it to Bronco and told Bronco Heaps is the reason that the teams sucks this year. After that, OC got suspended for the rest of the year.



Chambers is in desperate need of an emotional filter. The kid has none and basically got what he deserved. It also shows how the Heaps-Chambers relationship soured really fast, and it is shocking that OC turned on Jake this quickly. It also begs the question of how many other receivers and TE's think the same thing, and if many, there is a real problem on the team right now. It might also explain Jake confidence problems at the moment. Dudes need to rally around him as he is the guy playing, not stab him in the back.



Let's hope this galvanizes the offense.

Well I've heard that Apo and Hoffman are pretty upset about the Chambers dismissal themselves. They think that Chambers is getting a raw deal and being treated unfairly. What this means for their futures at BYU is anyones guess.

I am going to take some heat from this but here goes. Guys, this is why Freshman don't start and do well most of the time. Heaps has all the talent in the world but, like has been said, he is a 18 year old trying to be a leader with a bunch of 21 year olds that have had to "pay their dues". I am not blaming Heaps for Chambers' attitude but it is obviously a symptom of a bigger problem. Is the offense looking lethargic because they don't believe the freshman can get it done? I don't know because I am not on the team but it is definately a possibility. Now, don't ask me what my solution would be because there isn't one. Heaps is the best option right now. I guess the only real answer is to have the coaches kick some butts into gear and light a fire under guys. Something needs to happen or we aren't going to make a bowl game this year.

Forget the bowl game are we just going to have our whole offense booted? Well....Florida State did that to establish order and they're actually not doing too bad...

If the story is true and other guys think he is not being treated fairly, then there needs to be an education of the team on the meaning of teamwork. There is no excuse for blaming teammates for losses.

And once again--who do you start instead of Heaps? You rants are ridiculous because you give all these lame reasons without giving an alternative, then excuse yourself for no alternative. You'd makea great contrarian politician--all bluster but no ideas of your own. So just shut it already and deal in the reality because your rant does nothing to improve a thing. Absolutely nothing.



Seriously, Heaps was the most ready QB BYU had, along with Nelson. Lark was not ready and Munns sure was not, and still is not, ready. So who else? Who?! So stop titling at windmills already.



And do not even elude to Chambers issues having a damn thing to do with Jake. Chambers made his own bed, has for 3 years now. Any statements trying to backhanded try to pin OC's issues on Jake are total BS. Think First Article of faith here. Then shut it.

Lawboy, go back and read my post again. I was not bagging on Heaps personally. I was giving a reason why I have been against a freshman QB starting from the beginning. I even said in the post that Heaps is our best option right now. I also stated in the post that the coaches need to kick some butts to fix the attitudes of players if they are not busting thier butts to help Heaps. You are taking my posts way to personal.

100% reliable--trust with my life. He has vetted this as well, and per him, been confirmed by OC's family as factual. His sources in the program are solid. HE knows many players and former players.

frdbtr, but really, great--don't ever start a freshman at QB. Nice rule. So then what? Sounds like you are complaining just to complain rather than facing a reality. Jake is the guy right now, this is the situation, and the players need to support him, and the fans need to be patient. Yes, a redshirt would have been ideal, but guess what--did not happen. So all this talk of ifs and buts are stupid and ridiculous and basically do nothing. BYU can not change the fact Heaps needs to play. What they can change is attitudes, effort, and improve execution. That is the now.

Did you actually read my post or did you read the part where I said "this is why freshman don't start" and then went of on your own little rant. I have been one of the guys who has done the LEAST amount of ranting on this board this week and I get accused of going off on rants. How many FIRE ANAE NOW! threads are there? take a chill pill Lawboy and then actually read posters entire points before going off on your own little rants.

I read you whole post. You tried to pin OC's crap on Jake. And that was simply asinine. Starting a freshman is a problem, huh? Then I guess 1/4 of our team should sit this year, because it hurts culture. I read your post. It was dumb. You complained, then excused yourself for having no answers. You have been on Heaps all year, but offer no alternatives--because there are none and we all know it. So deal in the now--the real--not he hypothetical BS that offers nothing. Jake is struggling--it is clear to see. So offer a real solution--like--BYU needs to go Power I and play action to take pressure off Jake and put him in situation where he can succeed (3rd and short) instead of blaming all culture issues with the team this year on him. That is just stupid.

I hate losing. This team is spiraling downward. Wow. Amazing how quickly things fall apart. I still blame all of this on the coaches. I don't blame them foe the personal decisions of players but for setting us up for epic failure that could have been avoided.



How is oc so unable to control himself with a mother like he has. What does he not get to realize crap like this is not okay. Borderline delusional. He has some issues.

A narcissistic sociopathic personality .... yikes. O'neill has his work cut out for him to just be a functional member of society.

I still think losing this year is tied to 2004 and 2005 recruiting classes, and the fact that Lark waited to serve. Had he been back a year sooner he is playing now as a redshirt junior. Would have been ideal.
