Bronco resurrected this D...

Win or loss... It's quite apparent that Bronco has done wonders with the defense. Firing Hill was the right thing to do; and unfortunately probably couldn't have been done before USU.



TCU has been averaging nearly 300 rushing yards and 41 points a game... and BYU under Hill had shown no ability to defend the run and they gave up in several games... I see no give up and I've seen 2 teams that expected they could run (SDSU and TCU)actually struggle. Broncos D would have won the Air Force and Nevada games. (TCUs D just totally outclasses our O).



Now either Anae needs to get the 2nd half of this season straightened out (with all the patsies conference games ahead) including beating Utah, or his job should be up for grabs.



Bottom line, Bronco got it done today with the D, inspite of this being a road game and having terrible free safety play.



I'm taking the moral victory and wishing we had a free safety that could have shut down the middle on 2 big throws.



While the offense has been anemic as far as scoring, they are holding the ball and matching TCU in time of possesion; so at least there's that.

Giving up 238 yards in the first half without getting a turnover wasn't exactly a crowning victory either.

A lot of those yards came as TCU realized they could go over the top of our free safety anytime they want. Bronco isnt' a miracle worker, but TCU has struggled to play their game and we've handled every bit of their supposedly tough running game.



It might not end up showing on the box scores but it's apparent to me that the defense has responded to Bronco.



The fact that the score wasn't respectable is on the offense.

Exactly the offense can't move the ball and give the D a chance to rest,

This loss goes all on the offense...

With Bronco in charge of the defense, this team will be competitive. Once the team works out the offensive woes, it will be one of BYU's best teams ever.



I was disappointed that BYU got burned on 4 separate blitzes, but it was four different players and those receivers for TCU are fast and sure handed.



Removing Hill was clearly the right thing, and as craig mentioned, it couldn't have happened until after the USU game. Now the team has 4 scrimmages to get ready for :utard: It will be interesting to see what progress the offense makes in that time.

We will need to bring our best game every week and for all 4 quarters to win all of those 4 scrimmages, especially on the road. But I think we can do it - better than 50% chance but far from certain.

Totally agree. Every game will be a struggle from here to the end. Especially with defense players dropping like flies.

Very tough and quality performance by the defense --- Bronco salvaged a team that had given up....



TCU was held about 150 yards below its average in rushing. I imagine that TCU would have rushed for 300 today had Hill still been DC.



The offense is still a work in progress, but having too much success against the No. 1 in the country is asking much. The one scoring drive really was hitting on all cylinders before it stalled at the very end.
