BoiseBYUTCU was founded in 1873 by brothers Addison and Randolph Clark, with their father Joseph A. Clark, as AddRan Male & Female College. Cattle were considered for admission but ultimately excluded.
Both brothers were scholars and preachers and had recently returned from fighting in the American Civil War. They got their butts kicked and decided to change gears and throw their hats into the education arena
At first, they wanted to establish their school in Fort Worth, Texas, but the town transformed from a frontier village to a bustling town, with cattle and cowpies. The Clarks wanted their school to be in a more positive environment, so they moved to Thorp Spring, about 40 miles away from their original location and right next to three of the best salons around.
The college was renamed Texas Christian University in 1902, after its third relocation to Waco, between 1895 to 1910. A fire in 1910 destroyed the universityâs main building. Darn but the FBI was responsible for that fire too.
So the school was moved back to Fort Worth after a businessman offered the university money and more land to move back to its original urban city of Fort Worth, the cattle and cowpies free of charge
A horned frog is really a lizard, but when the school discovered this, they were too lazy to do anything about it.
TCU has had some really good football teams and the fans come out to support them, all 38,000. They can make a lot of noise and can be intimidating when they do that tongue thing that lizards do
