I literally want to punch the screen. I've never heard such a conceited jerk when it comes to college football (although on the overall conceited jerk all-time ranking I put him right behind Barney Frank).



I can only imagine a bunch of old hags like this are running the BCS program and say the same type of things behind closed doors. What a joke.

Hmmm, shocker, someone from the SEC thinking its worst team is better then the best from other conferences. I am just shocked :roll:

I hate how it is all talk and the SEC will do anything possible to not have to play Boise State or TCU. Wouldn't it be sweet justice if Oregon and Ohio State each lose games and Bama gets woodshedded by Boise State or TCU in the NC?

I think both sides of the argument are useless.

Stupid and untrue. Don't even need to argue this one - as it has already been settled on the field several times. Heck, many non-BCS teams have proven they can be the BEST teams out of the "big 6" conferences.

Yes, true, but.... there is SOME legitimacy to the whole "playing tough teams week in and week out" argument. Listen guys - face reality here - TCU, BSU, Yewtah, or BYU - even during one of their best years - would struggle a lot more in the Pac-10, Big 12, etc. than they would playing in the WAC or MWC.



It's useless to argue either side because both sides are irrational and unwilling to think objectively. THAT'S why we need a playoff - so that these things can be settled on the FIELD and not with biased debate.

Concur, both sides are irrational. Look no further than Alabama getting creamed by Utah to prove non-BCS teams can beat some of the best BCS teams. However, to think the non-BCS teams would sustain the same success week in and week out against tougher opponents is not necessarily true. For a good example, look to the NCAA basketball tournament. Routinely, its the big conference schools that advance and win the whole thing. Then again, every year there seems to be a Cinderella that advances very far (like Butler being within one basket of making it). Both the big conferences and the non-major conferences should have an equal chance of proving that they are the champion--but casting aspersions at each other is unnecessary and illogical.
