I personally think we should make it a point not to CARE how strong people say schedules are. Either winning is important or it's not. SOS is one of the BIGGEST tools the BCS bass turds use to keep their cartel running. There's SO much bias built into every calculation, to say nothing of the fact that the system continues to perpetuate itself when historically bad teams have to play historically good teams just for the paycheck, to keep their heads above water.
The little guys' wins mean nothing because they weren't "good" wins, yet, interestingly, the big guys' losses ALSO mean nothing because they were "good" losses.
Yeah, it's kinda cool we've played a tough schedule this year, but I'm in the camp that's really not proud of 2-4, no matter HOW hard it's been, so it's not doing us any favors. And if the reason for the topic is to laugh at the :utard: (or some attempt at solace while licking wounds), I DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM!!! Remember back in the 80's when the rivalry meant NOTHING, to us, anyway? We beat the tar out of them, they knew it, and that was how things were. It's just like an abusive relationship, the one less invested in it has the power. Utah didn't start gaining any power until we actually started caring about them. SCREW 'EM! The greatest power the team, fans, etc would have is indifference to them. If we TREAT them like every other team we demolish, they'll BE like every other team we demolish.
Sorry, two separate topics, both of which annoy me, but the same message for both of them. STOP talking about SOS. It only strengthens the BCS's position. STOP talking about the :utard: . It only strengthen's :utard: 's position!
