Unbelievable fans

During the game there was a group of 4 or five guys sitting in our section. Right before the fake field goal, one of these geniuses yelled "FIRE BRONCO." Of course after that he started singing a different tune but only until a play did not gain 10 yards. If we "only" gained 3-4 he would start yelling about how Anae sucks, Heaps sucks, JJ sucks, and anytime a SDSU receiver dropped the ball he would yell "sign him he's perfect for BYU."



Not once did they stand to make noise to encourage the team. At one point after going up 14-0 my wife said loud enough for them to hear "Dangit Bronco, Crowton would have gotten 9 points on that play." I thought it was funny. The man turned around stared at us for a minute until I think he realized how dumb he was being. They stopped the Bronco attacks but attacked everything else they could.

Dumb people don't realize they're being dumb, that's why they're dumb... ;)

During the Nevada game, some BYU fan was booing from the student section a few rows away, and my wife yelled "stop being such a douche!" The kid shut up and the game went on. Then this week an older man kept yelling "come on Anae!" after every play that we didn't gain at least 5 yards, and even once when we were on defense(to the tune that if Anae did better, our defense wouldn't have to play as well as it did). After about a quarter my wife started yelling "come on Anae," after good plays on defense and offense, and the guy shut up by half time.

I am the bigger fan between the two of us, but she is hard core with stuff like that. Wives are great

There are some spoiled Cougar fans out there. Fair weather fans just can't see how good this team is going to be next year, and for sure, in two years.

To those who have such awesome wives, you know, wives who spoke up when their husbands cowered in the corner ( :whistle: ), when did you find such a wife? Do they have any unmarried sisters who have as much spunk and enthusiasm also?

There was a couple seated next to me who complained every time BYU ran the ball. Even when BYU was trying to run the clock out with less then 2 minutes left in the game they would say crap like "We are a passing team!" and "When are they going to figure out that they cannot run it up the middle?"



It drove me nuts. It seems that some people get upset when every single play isn't a touchdown. Get a clue people.

This is why I LOVED the game plan this week. We are a passing team, but our receivers SUCK, and our running game might just be our strength this year.

I had to sit by some Utah fan douche bag, who kept announcing/screaming every time the Utes would score ... My dad turned around and asked his dad if this was his son, to which he confirmed that it was. My dad then said " I bet you wish they had the morning after pill back then." Neither of them responded and he didnt say one word the rest of the game. Fairly offensive, but completely hilarious.

I'm pretty sure Bronco was referring to football education and not general education. And as for the couple I sat close to Bronco was dead on. It was like they had never watched a football game before. In that case their criticism matched their level of football education.

I think many BYU fans need to go rewatch the 1996 season game films. We ran it more than we passed it that year, had not 1, but 2 1,000 yard rushers, and went 14-1. It actually can work at BYU, and I think some people expect BYU to have a 4,000 yard passer every year. It is dumb. I just wish we'd have tried to dominate with the run earlier this year, because our O line is good enough to try this approach with. Run early, run often and wear the other team out. THE D will be good enough now most games to win it. Will need more points v. TCU and Utah, though, but as for the rest, dominate them.

I agree. Plus it takes some pressure off of our true freshman QB. I don't want to see him throwing 55 passes per game when we have JJ, Kariya and Juice out there on the field.
