Seriously, TCU has back to back shut outs and are jumped by Nebraska? Where are the MWC coaches in the voting? They should be voting for BSU or TCU. It's still early in the season, but Nebraska, though a very good team, hasn't earned the 5 spot. TCU's only loss in the last 2 season has been to the currently ranked #3 team in the country.

Congrats to AFA for landing in the top 25 this week, to go with their getting in the AP poll last week. Oh, how is it that Oregon St, which beat Arizona, but only lost to BSU and TCU not be in the top 25, but Florida, which has two losses as well, stays in the top 25???

Oregon St. not being in the top 25 is a major snub. Playing 3 top ten teams in your first 5 games and beating one of them should at least get you into the 20's.

Far as TCU getting jumped goes, dropping 48 on a previously unbeaten Kansas St. > scoring 45 on a hapless Wyoming team.

Same goes with BSU getting jumped by Oregon the week before, scoring over 50 on a top ten Stanford team > scoring over 50 on Ne Mexico St.

TCU had back to back shut outs. And a team they beat to start the season beat a top 10 team yesterday. Teams don't drop when they pitch shut outs. And Nebraska had a suspect win against an FCS team earlier in the season. At least the AP voters kept TCU ahead of Nebraska.

Of course, after BYU beats the 'Frogs next week, it won't really matter now will it. ;)

Is that before or after the second coming ?

Too bad. TCU is good and deserves a top 5 rank. I know they hate us, but I respect that team more than any other in the conference.

I couldn't care less and it doesn't bother me one bit - I do not celebrate the success of either TCU or BSU. I'm not sure why so many BYU fans do. During the game on Saturday, it was announced that Alabama had been defeated, and one of the BYU fans shouted "YES!!! That helps Boise State get closer to the national championship!"

Ugh... nothing makes me feel more sick than BYU fans who are still cheering for the success of the Donkeys and Horney Toads. TCU could be 10-0 and unranked and it wouldn't bother me at all.

The Oregon state snubbing is ridiculous - they have the #1 sos in all of college football. This and many other examples show the stupidity and subjectivity of the system.

The problem with the Coaches Poll in the BCS age is that conference affiliation is given too much weight with voting. If you think that coaches do not vote teams in their conference higher than they should, that is a lie. No way the Coaches Poll should be used by BCS criteria for that reason--bias plays too large a part.

Per Brad Edwards at ESPN, it the BCS Polls came out right now, here is the top 10. Apparently computers like non- AQ BCS schools more than voters. Not a shocker at all.

Team Rating

1. Boise State .913 (2 nice wins)

2. Oregon .863 (1 nice win)

3. TCU .854 (1 nice win)

4. Oklahoma .8425 (2 nice wins)

5. Ohio State .8421 (0 nice wins)

6. LSU .782 (1 nice win)

7. Nebraska .777 (1 so-so win)

8. Auburn .744 (1 great win)

9. Michigan State .642 (2 nice wins)

10. Alabama .634 (2 nice wins, 1 loss)

Hmmm, so I wonder what would happen if the BCS had two non BCS teams at 1 and 2 at the end of the day? Do you think that the elitests at the BCS would actually allow a NC game with two non AQ teams? I really don't want Boise and TCU in that game but it would be interesting to see what would happen if that is the way the polls end up at the end of the year.

If those are the only 2 undefeated teams are years end--it will happen. Count on it. Too much outrage if the only 2 undefeated teams don't make it. Questions is, can that happen this year? I say yes, but not likely. Nebraska, Oregon, OU and tOSU have to all lose. OU will have 1 tough game left--the Big 12 title game. Nebraska has 2--v. Texas and Big 12 title game v. OU. Oregon looks unstoppable, and tOSU really has any easier run this year in the Big 10.

What I want to see is what happens if there are 3 undefeateds(TCU, BSU) and the 3rd is Auburn or MSU. Will those teams jump both in the polls? And what about a 1 loss Bama team? I think they would.

Yeah, I don't see BSU or TCU holding onto a #1 or #2 spot if the SEC or Big-Whatevers have at least 1 one-loss team each. That Brad Edwards guy said as much on ESPN radio.

All those teams are notorious for choking. Especially Oregon. They look strong every year and then bomb at the last minute.

I totally agree, but don't think it's impossible.

I agree about Oregon. The Pac-10 seems to have more upsets in it than most conferences - it really seems like anyone can beat anyone week to week. As opposed to the Big 10 for example, where it seems like teams like Purdue, Minnesota, and Northwestern get beat up on fairly consistently.

I think Oregon loses one or possibly two games if they have some bad injuries or fall apart mentally.

I think the only undefeated teams at the end of the season are:

Ohio State

Oklahoma

Boise State

TCU

LSU will lose eventually - probably to 'Bama. LSU can't get lucky and squeeze out wins every week. Auburn is always overrated and overhyped, particularly by their own fanbase. Ohio State will throttle Michigan State. Oklahoma will beat Nebraska - they will put up points against a tough Husker defense, and the Huskers will once again fail to run an effective offense against an elite opponent.

Ohio State-Oklahoma national championship. Yup, no SEC teams. As much as the media loves them, they will not leave undefeated teams like tOSU or OU out of the big game.

BSU or TCU will get jipped. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

Why?

We will be looking at a very likely following scenario:

3 one-loss SEC powerhouses: LSU, Florida, and Alabama (possibly replace one of these with Auburn)

A one-loss MSU

A one-loss Oregon and/or Arizona

The Big East champ

The ACC champ

A one-loss Nebraska or Texas

not to mention several possible 2-loss teams such as Wisconsin, Michigan, etc. Sorry guys, but in this scenario, you will NOT see both TCU and BSU in bowl games - ain't happening.

The BCS will choose only one of the two teams and they will feel justified in doing that - and the medial will probably justify it to.

Go ahead and sticky this post.

Oregon is going to drop a game this year. BSU-TCU will be the MNC game.
