Bronco Madden Footballed SDSU

When I first played madden on N-64 I played with more talented teams until I got bored beating them all. Then I cut all my players and drafted the weakest players I could find to make it a challenge. The only way I found I could beat other teams was to shorten the game exactly like BYU's offense did. I would only hike the ball with one or two seconds left on the play clock. This shortened the game so that as long as I scored a couple times and got a few defensive stops, I could win.



Now, we have a lot more talent, but it is inexperienced. I think the game plan yesterday was life imitating art--and it worked. Kudos to Bronco and Anae for the game plan, because I don't think we win that game unless we do the same thing--drain the clock, convert some third downs, and get a few defensive stops. I think the game plan will have to be somewhat similar for any chance against TCU. Against the rest, we can really open it up because Colorado State, Wyoming, and New Mexico just look pathetic.



I am excited about the real possibility to go bowling this year!

BTW, anyone get the feeling that Marshall's wild cat will be the set of packages that Nelson will run next year? I think that is the role that most of us think he will play next year.

I think that's the role that most of us thought Nelson would play THIS year.



I don't think I've ever seen such a lopsided TOP as this game. I loved it.

I texted the point about Marshall and Nelson in to KSL---didn't hear if they ever talked about it. Can you imagine how different things might have been if we had implemented Riley from the beginning the way Matt Marshall was used today?
