urronerMy 15 y/o got a little booboo in his knee last week and we finally have the results from the MRI and doctor said that my son Steven did the following to his right knee:
1. Tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
2 Strained his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL)
3. Strained his medial collateral ligament (MCL)
4. Strained his lateral collateral ligament (LCL)
5. Tore both menisci
He is being operated on Nov. 1 and then he will be out of school for about a week. He is going to milk this for all it's worth. Daddy, go fetch this. Daddy, go fetch that.
And then it's six month of conditioning to get the knee back in shape for football next year and praying that it heals properly.
The best that we can figure is that when he went to tackle the ball carrier on a kickoff return, he twisted his knee badly when his cleats decided not to twist with him. When he heard the pop in his knee, he stopped and was in the process of dropping when some guy from the other team lit him up and creamed him. It was not a good night for him.
This is why I haven't been around too much lately.
