What can we expect from Offense this week?

One thing we have seen is that we don't play well when playing from behind or strictly having Jake throw 50 times a game with 50 percent completion rate (resulting in low TOP and defense on field for long time). What do you think Anae does differently this week to keep us in game offensively?

I'll give you a hint... it rhymes with "delayed reverse handoffs."

I don't expect anything different from Anae, wish I did. However, I do expect the receivers to catch every ball--I always expect that...if they don't, we lose another one. Receivers have to catch, that's why they get a scholarship. One more game of dropped passes and I'd start pulling scholarships.



I expect Heaps to have a great game, not a perfect game, but this kid can play, and he can pass, and if receivers will start catching passes, he's going to have a big game.



I expect DiLuigi to have a big game, he's our best offensive player, and we need to ride him, he delivers...and he catches passes better than any receiver on the team.



I expect the tight ends to get open and to make tough catches, and get us first downs. Devin Mahina looks like the guy to me, but we'll see.

I honestly expect nothing. I think we will look terrible, again. I don't see how anyone can expect improvement at this point of the season. Our offense has gotten worse each week.



Other than that, I am excited about Saturday.

So this is what being 1-4 is like? My only experience following a losing team growing up was the Cleveland Indians and it was tough year after year to strive to at least make it to 3rd place and possibly win the season series with the Yankees (back then they were in the same division).



Somehow though there was always hope and in the 90's they finally became a force. Now they're kind of back in the mud hole wallering around.



I have a lot of hope that we can beat SDSU and I can't pin this all on Anae. For me, bball said it all and it is the fact that we've just dropped so many passes. If you can't get that fixed, and having been a lineman and not having any clue if you can, then we're in trouble. I just don't understand how these guys were good enough to catch in high school and yes, this is Division 1 football and the coverage is way better, but when a ball is thrown in your hands, you have to catch it--PERIOD!



I don't know what to say, but it hard for me to not look past the players. Find one that can get open and catch the duall gum football and we have a chance.
