Kelly Poppinga

Hey guys, long time lurker here. Probably won't post much but thought I'd put a word in for Kelly. I served with him and he is a great guy. I would love nothing more than to see him succeed in a long term position at the Y.



I remember shaking his hand for the first time and feeling like mine was a toothpick in comparison, which it is. But anyway, he was a pretty laid back guy in the field, and of course with his size no latin american would want to mess with him but I can imagine he'd be a pretty intense coach, something that I think is lacking on the coaching staff right now.



Keep your heads up, the future is bright, this is just a transition time. Every elite program has down years.

Welcome PoppingasAP...so were you really his AP? Is that what I gather from your handle? Sweet.



I actually met him a few years back, he seems to be a great guy. It is fun to be able to follow BYU football not only because of the team but because of all the great people that are associated with the program.
