Watched the 2009 highlight video last night

The receivers were catching passes, and they made it look effortless. I don't mean Pitta and George. I am talking about Jacobson, Ashworth, Di Luigi, Chambers, Hafoka. And I don't mean passes thrown right in the bread basket. We all know the way Pitta caught balls, everyone was doing it last year. They also fought defenders to get to balls and to take balls away from them.



The defense was much better at tackling too.

I really think internal conflicts (new recruits with egos, position battles, coaching conflicts) all took tolls on the attitude and effort we are seeing this year.

I was watching some highlights earlier too, and I saw a great little catch and run. I looked closer and was shocked to see it was Hafoka. It's sad to see our talented receivers not playing to their potential. Other posts on the same topic have pointed to fact that dropping passes is a mental thing. I like what Ben Cahoon said about dropping passes. "the only way that I've found to get it out of my mind is to go catch a ton of footballs."
