I owe Bronco an apology

For those that read my annoyingly long post (I know. They are ALL annoyingly long. I'll fix that.) about Bronco not taking responsibility, I am going to do a complete about face. Look, I honestly was being too nitpicky on that. So he didn't say it EXACTLY the way I thought it would do the most good. No big deal. The point is that he is definitely TRYING to fix things, and that is the very definition of taking responsibility.



My major beef with Bronco was that I didn't feel like he was doing much IN-GAME coaching, despite being an awesome motivator and coach. By firing Hill and taking back over the defense, I can't imagine my beef will continue. I think it was the perfect move and will really pay off the rest of the season. The players needed to know their coach was looking for the answer and was willing to change. He's done that. I bet things get much better in a hurry. So sorry Bronco for being so nit-picky and SORRY to my fellow posters for writing entire books for my posts. Go cougs 8)

My opinion to add to that is he has been having some issues with getting Hill to make changes that he just wouldn't do. Changes that Bronco believes in and Hill didn't. I wonder how much influence Bronco had with the D in the second half of each game. They were basically night and day in every game. Well, lets see what the new look D does against SDST.

I expect the team to look way better come Saturday. The team will play with more fire, especially on D. And from the sounds of the interview coach Doman did with D.Harmon is Sunday's D-News, i expect the O to play better as well--and with more heart.



The thing that makes me feel best out all of this is that the coaches seem to have pinpointed a real issue and are not just doing the usual coach speak job--they are really getting to the heart of it, saying it publicly and basically calling out the players to step up in that area. I like seeing that. No player got named individually, just the team in general, and now it is up to them to respond. They better.

I like Vic So'oto's answer when he was asked about defensive practice under Bronco. "Gonna be scary."



I like it already. If your defensive coach scares you (in a good way) that is a good thing/

Gee dave, you only apologized for being nit-picky and not for doubting Bronco and you still are highly critical of him in your "apology." Was this a full apology or a conditional apology based on whether the team actually improves?

That says it all. It was the same way when Crowton resigned. Crowton was so easy on the offense, and it showed in the games. Offensive players were scared when Broncon took over.
