Hoping for Kalani Sitake at DC

I know it is likely that Bronco will basically run the defense. But I have to admit, I have always been jealous of the aggressive style of defense played by the Utes. Kalani Sitake has plenty of experience, I wonder if we could get him back to Provo...

Me too, as much as i hate the Utes, i have to respect that they can play man coverage and bring some impressive blitz packages.

that is what took them to the BCS in 08, not Brian Johnson's 5 yard passes.



But, why would Sitake come back to Provo for the same job and most likely less pay?

It seems like a pipe dream, but the guy is a complete stud! It was just the other day a buddy and I were listening to a radio interview with Kalani and saying how much of a stud he comes across as and then I asked, "Have you ever heard of an interview with Jaime Hill?"



For the record, I liked Hill and would've dumped Anae, not Hill, but I digress.

I think we will be embarassed if we go after Sitake and are rejected, which we will be. Why would you go from being the DC at a school moving to the Pac 12 to a school going independent, who by the way just fired their DC because their defense sucks. Also there is no way that BYU offers him more money than what the U is paying.

I know its unlikely, just wishful thinking.

Maybe the ESPN exposure next year will lead to a HC position down the road for him.

I don't know if I'd give Sitake the credit for the U's D. They just have better atheletes. Thinking back to their sugar bowl team, those guys were impressive I must admit. The ghost of Vince Lombardi couldn't make our milktoast RMs play like that. Man, where did the polynesian pipeline go?

that said, I'm all for hiring more polys on the coaching staff. Get the island pipeline back.

That requires Non-Honor Code players often. And the Yew, without that Honor code, doesn't represent the true nature of the state of Utah..hence my dislike for that program. But I would love to have him coach at BYU and get speed and intensity out of our non-athletic defense.

And the Yew, without that Honor code, doesn't represent the true nature of the state of Utah..hence my dislike for that program. .
