BYU will be 1-6 unless...

1) receivers start catching passes

2) Oline start making holes for the running game

3) Hill starts blitzing the QB (did we blitz even once tonight? I didn't see it if we did.

4) Heaps learns to take some heat off his short throws

5) Receivers learn how to get open

6) Receivers, receivers, receivers--I'm shocked at how bad they have been so far.

7)BYU rediscovers how to score (not blaming anyone)



GET the BALL in the ENDZONE!!!!



8)The defense learns that in order to give the offense a chance, they have to hold a team to less than 21 points. Difficult? Yes, but so is playing D1 QB as a true freshman for a team that refuses to hold onto your balls. (that didn't come out right)

Ashworth gets back to the bench. Mckay plays like a man, Chambers gets back in, Juice gets power I runs right up the middle, O and D lineman play to their size and weight expectations, corners make plays. AND COACHES START MAKING SMART CALLS.

SDSU and gets lost on the way to the stadium and there is a 100 year flood in Dallas and the TCU stadium fills with water.



There is zero chance this team wins either of the next two games. Before you respond remember that I was one of the only ones on here this past week predicting a loss against USU. I was off though. I didn't think we would lose as bad as we did.



We are horrible. No other way around it.

- We get heart transplants and the players show they care. No one looks terribly upset after dropped passes, missed tackles, bad calls, bad passes--it's all kind of ho-hum. I don't think this team has a leader, and you need someone to lead you to victories.

And he put it in the defense's hands enough to lose it. I'm not putting the blame solely on Heaps--in fact I agree the blame on the offense rests primarily on the receiving corps. However, there is plenty of blame to go around. Don't be naive enough to think Heaps had a win worthy performance by blaming dropped balls. Three of those dropped balls should have been picks--including one that shouldhave been a pick 6. You can't blame the receivers for their drops but credit Heaps for what USU dropped.

Not even the Lord Himself could get this team to be good enough to win another game this year. I don't quite think anyone is realizing how bad this team really is when they throw out guesses like 4 or 5 wins this year. We were lucky to get 1. And 1 is all we will get.

I honestly don't see us winning more than three more games. We are bad.

I am quite confident we won't lose our bowl game this year. :~(

BYU will be 1-6 unless between now and before the end of the TCU game the world comes to an end.

I know we're all pretty down this morning, but I don't think it's as bad as it looks (it never is). I do think there are coaching issues here. Kicking field goals when you're down by three TDs is dumb, trying to run for a TD when we haven't been able to run all night, is dumb. Leaving receivers in the game (after game after game) who cannot catch a pass, is dumb. Failure to blitz the entire game, is dumb. It's time the coaches earn their pay, put together a game plan, change something, surprise the other team for a change. Just lining up and doing the same thing game after game, when the other knows exactly what we're going to do, is not working--everybody is on to us, so change something for heaven's sake.

I"m getting the sense the coaches are treating games more like practices than anything else. To a degree, they're probably purposedly running a lot of the same plays to get the "execution" down.



Also, players probably are treating the games like practices too. There's no emotion, no fire (not going to get it from the coaches) so it's just another practice.
