not always, the last time I saw a team go scoreless was a Crowton team. And they were definitely worse than this.

The 2003 team was horrible. This team has the chance to be the worst. And it looks like there trying to be the worst.

The 2002 and 2003 Crowton teams did not score points in bunches.

I don't understand how the veteran receivers got worse over the offseason. Jacobson and Ashworth were superstars in seasons past, at least they would catch balls thrown to them. They are unable to do so this year. They are the ones that need to step up and set the example for the young receivers.

I dont think either of them are capable of stepping up. Lets hope appo can come back and do something.....next year.

I've only really been paying good close attention to BYU football since 2000 or so I guess (always a fan though). So I guess I'd probably agree with this assessment.

Crowton killed everything about BYU. Bronco has webbed many great things together. But as far as putting a decent team together this year, he has utterly failed...or has his assistant coaches failed to coach to kids strengths? Yes. If UNM beats BYU, I want some coaching changes handled by Bronco.

I was there during a few of the Crowton years, and after the 24-3 home loss to UNLV, I was tempted to break out the brown bag the next game--like the old 'Aints fans. Give it two more games, and LaVell Edwards Stadium is going to start looking like this:

I was stunned at all the balls going through BYU receivers hands, richocheting off facemasks & shoulder pads. We do not have a ingle "go to" receiver - like Collie or Pitta on this team. None.



With all my lack of experience & naivete - I felt we missed some real opportunities by blowing - (in my opinion) genuinely catcheable balls. Am I wrong?????
