crh55In anticipation of this year the 2 most exciting young players i have wanted to watch on defense have been KVN and Zach Stout. I have been stoked to see Stout get more and more playing time and now it looks like another injury will give siginificant reps to KVN. I hate to relish in injuries, however i do think that loosing guys like Nelson and Frazier will help the learning curve of these future players and help us rebuild faster.
Getting Van Noy and Stout the experience is so crucial becuase the BYU defense is at its best when the linebacking core is the most dominant. I know our secondary is the most athelitic group we've probably ever had, but lets face it our "D" hasn't been truly dominant since we had Keihl, Jensen, and Nixon playing linebacker. I am hoping that Stout, Van Noy and Kaveinga will be the unit that helps our D return to form.
