Hightlight:

Tom Holmoe came to speak today to the Sports and Entertainment Law Society at BYU Law School this afternoon along with Steve Sandberg from the BYU Office of the General Counsel. I took notes of what was said and Ill do my best to transcribe the presentation. Some of what was said confirms what we thought and some we already knew, but other stuff was new to me. Sorry its so long. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Looks like BYU did everything above board, which is what we all believed, even when it was to their own undoing.

Tom had agreed with Bo Pellini (they are friends from their 49er days) to do a home-and-home with Nebraska, but that Nebraska's administration nixed the deal because they wanted 2 for 1...

He is in talks with several bowl games and seemed very optimistic."

Excellent read. I attended a Stake Conference a couple weeks ago where Samuelson spoke and he talked a little about independence, but related it more to spiritual independence. It was great.

Holmoe's words are a nice revelation to fill in some information we have been wanting to hear. (or at least I have).

My one question is sort of obvious, but maybe I missed it in 2007....were we really even in contention for a BCS bowl? Ha Ha. I dont remember being that caught up in BCS bowling that year having already lost twice....
