Wow, Cougs are beat up!

BYU DT Romney Fuga had his surgery today on his blown out knee.

Jameson Frazier out for three weeks, surgery for broken thumb.

Riley Nelson (arm in sling) watched practice today, said fall camp injury didn't come in scrimmage when he took off green jersey.

Receiver Cody Hoffman (sprained ankle) is banged up a little bit, too, trainer Kevin Morris said, but is expected to play against USU.

Matt Reynolds (ankle, shoulder) practiced today and is expected to play Friday against the Utah State Aggies.

BYU safety Steven Thomas also won't play this week (concussion), with Travis Uale getting the start at free safety, most likely.

Weird that we played Air Force recently, isn't it?

Most of those injuries were after air force.

Fuga out really worries me. not only do we have putnum starting at d end with is a downgrade, but manu doesn't seem very happy to be playing back in the middle. he said he was just getting used to being on the end in terms of assignments.

It's funny, but I think Bryson is a better DE than EM or Putnam at getting sacks, and Putnam is better than EM at blocking passing lanes.
