That network has to be taking a hit, can they even survive much longer?

If the $8 million is the number per season, which I doubt, there was no way BYU could have turned it down.

Well, for the 2016 game v. WVU, we get $2.25M for that 1 game alone. With ESPN taking anywhere from 4-7 home games, plus some roadies with WAC teams, I reckon BYU will get about $6M/ year in 2011 and 2012, but then it will go up after that due to better home games to broadcast.

He is saying that BYU will get $8 million for football alone from ESPN here on out.



The MTN network currently pays the MWC $12 million for ALL sports.



BYU only gets like $1.2 for the rights to all of their games, home or away, all year.



The MTN didn't offer us more, and now they are in big trouble. They didn't think we would follow through with our warnings of the last few years. They called our bluff, except it wasn't a bluff.
