jonnylingoThe Washington game aside, I felt so much better walking away from this game than the last two. After watching the last two i realized that at this point in time we were just not a good team and that we could go on to lose 7 games or more.
Watching the progress our offense made in just two weeks with giving the same qb all the reps was very encouraging. I expect this offense to be quite dangerous by the end of the year.
I also think our defense is good. They are not great but if our offense wasn't so bad the our defense has put us in a place to win in every game but probably air force. They have done this while being on the field way longer than they should be with our typical byu offense.
who has held nevada to 27? To only 3 points in the whole second half (If i recall correctly) Nobody and I doubt many teams will going forward. Nevada has an explosive offense that no defense could totally shut down. But holding them to 27 put us in position to win i f our offense were good enough.
Good news to me is that our offense is improving each week. I few passes executed better would have resulted in a w in that game. I still blame the lack of timing and dropped balls primarily on the coaches two qb system choice. I think our record would be different had they not made that decision. But having that behind us and the team moving forward more of a unit I think that we can expect much better going forward each week. The dropped balls will continue to decrease and the timing and passes will get better.
i expect a win on saturday and a close win against san diego state the following week.
Then a win against tcu will get us back on track where we will roll until we play and beat utah one last time in the mwc. :)
