Lack of playmakers on both sides of the ball.



No one steps up to make plays with any consistency, aside from maybe Rich.

Yeah Rich has been money. But I do think Cody Hoffman stepped up with every opportunity he was given and JJ is becoming a proven playmaker---I'm very impressed with this kid.

yeah, Rich was an absolute beast on D. I bet UNR would've dropped 50+ on us it weren't for him plugging the huge holes they kept opening up and tackling everything that came within arms reach of him.

Yeah, but that's always been hard to come by for BYU. Name the last great MLB we've had. I think we have to go back to Muirbrook or Morris. Jensen might've been borderline. But on offense we just don't get the athletes who are a threat to take it the distance when in open space, which puts us at a disadvantage against every other team in the country. I'd say we haven't had a game breaker like that since Staley.

I disagree. Pitta was a burner for a tight end, and stretched the field, especially on 3rd down. Healthy Harvey was fast for his size, and trucking ability.
