and here are the main points, I found it a very interesting read:
1) They were surprised at how poor the receivers were this year. He said that last year, the routes were run with precision, and with so much focus on Pitta and George (who he said were both fantastic), Jacobsen and Chambers might have looked better than they were. But he was surprised how easy it was to knock them off their routes and their inability to get behind the corners given how tight they were playing them on the line.
2) I asked what impact Unga might have had on the game. And he said that Unga was "great", and he mentioned both his running and receiving ability as making it incredibly difficult to defense BYU last year. He said that their defense was stunting into BYU's wide gaps all game this year, as they didn't really think we had anyone who could bust a huge one if they got past the line.
3) Said that Jake will be a great quarterback for the next few years, and he thought it counterproductive to try and run two different offenses. He specifically said that you knew exactly what plays Riley would be running, and that BYU's guards (yes, he singled them out) were slow and poor run blockers. Actually, he said "bad run blockers". Obviously, with eight sacks, they weren't impressed with our O-line. He felt that you could run two quarterbacks in the same offense, but it was crazy to try and design and train two separate styles of offense for two quarterbacks.
4) Finally, the only thing he said about our defense is that they missed a lot of tackles and were not very physical in shedding blocks. Certainly, that is no surprise to anyone who saw the game.
