ESPN is far superior than that hell-hole MTN that hated BYU for no reason, but I'm really hoping to bring some "interesting competition" back to Provo too.

Could this be the season opening game on ESPN like Boise-VT this year? That'd be cool, DC on Labor Day!

Bronco needs to start looking at recruiting talent for this game as it is a big one. I expect more and more BYU scouts show up at middle school tackle football and elementary flag football games. We should sign a 13 year old recruit like USC did.

Yeah, cuz Jake Locker killed us with his running. So did Christian Ponder this year. And that Wyoming kid ran all over us. As did the AFA Qb the last 2 years.



Really? It isn't run QBs beating us lately. Not at all.

You watched the FSU game, right? Ponder kind of did kill us. Locker didn't have an absolutely outstanding game against us either, but he scrambled well and was difficult to bring down... AFA's QB ran all over us, too.



But I agree, there are far greater causes for concern this year than how we defend against running QB's.

this is great news! This is why we went independent, to play games like this! I'd love to go see Washington DC and the historical sites, go to an NFL game, and a BYU Game all in one trip!!!!

Great news. Very welcome during what has been a tough week for Cougar fans. I am really looking forward to this one.

Speaking of which, sometime in the future I am planning on attending the BYU-Notre Dame game in South Bend on Saturday and a Colts game in Indy on Sunday. That will be the most epic weekend ever!

It would have been nice had it been an opening season game so like Boise fans the BYU fans not on the east coast would have the opportunity to travel there and back without taking several days off for vacation. I'm still expecting that we'll have quite a few fans there. At the UVirginia game back in 2002, we had and estimated 15-20K fans in Charlotteville and Landover is far more on the beaten path.



My only issue is why do these supposed neutral field games seem to always be a whole lot nearer to the opposing team than to us. Couldn't ESPN set up a game in California with WVU. It's still probably four hours to Morgantown from Landover, but that's a heck of a lot closer than it is from Provo.

Also...let's get some announcement of a game like that in LES. Holmoe will get somewhat of a pass in 2011-12, but come on baby, we need some quality opponents in LES and all these neutral field and 2 fers isn't going to help that home game slate.

You know me and you are going to this game right regardless of it's it's 6 years away or not! And p.s. I believe that game UVA game was in 2000 but I could be wrong

This only happens being independent, I love it! 2016 seems like so far off.

There will be a lot of byu fans there. I sure won't miss it. I just moved to utah from dc. Great chance to visit and see byu. there are a lot of members and byu grads in that whole area.
