Chambers Suspended!

Harmon reporting a two game suspension for the breaking of team rules. Wow

Guess he won't be the TE on Saturday afterall.

I hope OC can sort this out and come back strong. He has much to give this team....And I wish Nelson a speedy recovery....That said, I think we will REALLY miss Logan if he cannot start

Harmon is reporting that Chambers is to move back on campus and will be separated from the team during his suspension. Academics seem to be one reason for the suspension.



I wonder how this will affect the young man if he can't participate?

This has been a crazy week for BYU news.

If there was a time for leadership for this team this year, NOW IS THE TIME to step forward...Injury, dissension, error prone play. I hope the team has the wherewithal to rally together and unitedly move forward....

Meh...

I should be more depressed about this than I am.

I expected a lot from him this season.

Heard bronco comment onthis on 1320. Basically said this was a move about development and not about winning. Typical bronco chatter.



2 games does seem heavy to me which makes me wonder what the offense might have been.

I'm sorry, but this season is now done. The team has no leadership and no discipline. They have no identity and don't know where to look for leadership. Bronco certainly isn't providing it. He's letting the players do it while he manages from afar. He's now stepping in when it's too late. I really don't like what this says about the team, its cohesion and discipline.

Easy kitic. I view Chambers' suspension as a great opportunity for the tight ends, who have thus far done nothing. By all accounts those young TEs are very talented, so now it's time to come to the table and deliver. I believe they will. whether or not this translates into a win on Saturday remains to be seen. During the summer, all of us were excited to see these young, talented freshmen perform, well, we've gotten our wish, these young freshmen are going to have to carry us for awhile.



I actually predict Nevada will win this game, they are very, very good, mature and talented. However, I know when teams are backed up against the wall, and everybody else has lost faith, and they have nothing to lose by playing out of their heads, they often do just that. I'm hoping this is one of those times.

Not surprised in the least. Won't hurt the team that much ( not having him on the field anyways ) Anywho he wasn't that productive to begin with and was a liability a lot of the time. Hopefully he gets his business though, I have no ill will towards him as a person.

I wonder if this means Drew Phillips will see his first action in the kick return game. Give him a chance at the slot now too.

I hope he works it out and lets this fuel his fire for getting back on the field

While I would love to see this I hate that we didn't use him for three of our games. If this year is going to be shot I would actually like to wait and have him come out in a vengeance next year.

I kind of am feeling like Kitic. This season just keeps getting worse. I feel like Bronco has lost control but I have no idea what is really going on so I can't really say taht with any type of educated opinion. All I know is that oneill's demeanor in the fsu game was completely different than usual. He was not in other people's faces. He was helping opposing team players up. It was wierd. Something happened that changed his attitude. I wonder if it was related at all.



I hate to here this news. I like Chambers. Will it hurt yes, I think the answer is yes. Heaps seemed to find him more than anybody else last saturday (I may be off but it seems like our bigger gains through the air were to chambers). I liked him at the new position.



i hope the supension doesn't just send him off the deep end. I am not going to judge because i have no information on what is really going on. chambers always gets crucified by fans and the media though. maybe he deserves it, maybe he doesn't. I just hate to see it.

Chambers is Chambers, Van Noy is Van Noy, kids are growing and learning in various ways.

Basically frustration breaks down into quick bursts shared by teammates so it seems worse. Add lots of injuries that simultaneously happen against a physical team it gives the appearance of falling and falling hard.



A win over Nevada, a Heaps performance over the next few games will alleviate the pain now.

Don't flip off opponents on semi-national TV.

I predicted when he was a freshman that he wouldn't make it four years at BYU. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end.

I hope he gets this whole thing sorted out. I like Chambers and think we need his leadership on the field.

Makes me wonder if the suspension was for the flip off. Coaches allowed him to play in his home state and now has a 2 game suspension.
