Biggest Problem: Dropped passes or Tackling?

The biggest problem may change game to game. What do you think it is?

It's probably a combination of dropped passes and receivers that can't get open (too slow?). We had no deep game, with allowed the defense to have our way with us wrt sacks and stopping the run.

It's gotta be tackling. FSU went 85ish yards in 4 plays. It was consistently 3 or 4 missed tackles before the guy was finally brought down.

This game? Tackling. Haven't seen this poopy of tackling/d since Crowton was the coach!

How about another option for scoring in the second half. We have yet to score a point in the 4th quarter this season.

TAckling was definitely the biggest problem this game followed by dropped passes followed by the offensive line not stopping much.

Florida St. ranks 100th+ in the nation in passing defense, and we can only throw 117 yards???



I don't know if it's dropped passes or the play calling! Everyone and their dog knows those Indians secondary sucks BUT we only throw a couple down the field? The ones we do... Are dropped. I'm just going in circles here...

Missed tackling. One drive alone we missed two QB sack opportunities b/c of poor tackling. One of which was on 3rd and long. The drive, of course, resulted in a score putting FSU up by two touch downs. Lame performance by the defense.

I picked play-calling, but only because it was the closest option to "the 2 QB System." This week, combined with last week should make it nakedly apparent that neither QB is going to get it done with this QB system. I think we could name Matt Marshall our starting quarterback on Monday and next Saturday we would see our best offensive showing of the season simply because the 2 QB idiocy was gone.



Pick someone, anyone, and do it before practice on Monday.

Riley has an injured finger on his throwing hand, and had it taped pre-game. Tried throwing but looking wobbly pre game. His throws were an issue in the game as well due to this. I think think is the reason Jake played all 2nd half. Riley struggles passing as it is, but with a bad finger, could not go.



Tackling was a HUGE issue. Game would have been way closer with better tackling. No doubt about it. Tackling was the bigger issue. Guys needs to catch it more to keep drives going, but our D is giving up too many rushing yards. Over 600 yards last 2 weeks. that will never cut it, and good tackling cuts that number WAY down.

The missed tackles were more egregious, but they didn't "lose" us the game. The offense lost the game for us again and dropped passes was a part of that--there was no option for the offense as a whole. Our receivers plain suck, and I would include the TE's in that statement too if I thought the team actually had someone playing the position.



Next week I'm running a thread on the number of passes dropped in the game.

Not only was the tackling spaghetti armed but I was shocked to see Pendleton take himself out of position to allow that 83 yard td run that crushed the team emotionally. Everyone who has ever played knows you don't pentrate when the ball carrier is running wide following a blocker. Had he simply held his ground, or even given ground, there would have been no td.



Sloppy tackling and out of position play can't be blamed on heat and humidity. Those are mental attributes.
