1967cougarIt has been fun (and occasionally nauseating) making my many many daily visits to Cougar Corner these last few weeks. So my predictions for the posts after Saturday's game and for the following week will be that there is no middle ground. We will see:
1) A continuing diatribe on thousands of separate posts concerning the Heaps/Nelson debate (or should I say the Nelson/Heaps debate - many posters get all up in Armageddon-type arms looking for the unspoken subtiltys inferred over whose name is mentioned first in the comparison)
2) Thousands of new posts talking about how crappy we are and how we will get tromped on by Nevada and, Heaven forbid, Utah State.
3) Number 2 above will be accompanied by an increasing clamor for the heads of Bronco, Anae, Hill, and everyone else down to and including the water boy.
3) Thousands of new posts talking about how we deserve to be invited to a BCS Bowl because we will have only one loss at the end of the year.
4) Number 3 above will be accompanied by an increasing clamor for Bronco to become Coach of the Year and for Anae and Hill to get HC jobs somewhere.
5) Numbers 3 and 4 will be accompanied by thousands of posts detailing the genius of the two quarterback system.
Somehow, I don't think there will be any middle ground in any of the threads.
Who was it that just said in a recent post, "I sure miss the discussions about going Independent."
