Last Word on Heaps and Nelson

I'm sure you are all getting as tired about the constant "Nelson sucks / no he doesn't" threads as I am, but I thought I'd take the pulse of the people on one last poll. Pick up to 4 of the options.

an option saying something like that? That is what it is for me. Traditional offense, vs. A made up as we go offense.

This is the most vicious, drawn out debate I have ever seen on CC.

I'm with you. I can't believe that we are still talking about the QBs. It's almost like everyone out there thinks that all Bronco has to do is pick the right QB and we are off to a BCS game. It's one position on a team sport, and I am dumbfounded as to how polarizing this has been. The utes must eat crap like this up!



I feel like I'm reading a miami dolphins forum when John Beck, Pennington, and Henne were all fighting for the #1 spot. It's getting so boring/repetitive/opinionated that I've stopped coming around as often.



Isn't there anything else we can talk about? I wish I could contribute, but that's usually why I'm here, just to read up and enjoy everyone's great input.

That loss was a fluke in my opinion. Manning had 433 yards passing on 40 completions and they still lost? That never happens.



But Collie is a stud! Manning loves the guy.

Where is the tebow/leak hybrid option? That is what I want. I support starting Heaps with Riley as a true situational qb (3rd and short, red zone..etc.).



I just want at true starter to be picked. I'd support either at that point with a little less patience for Riley if he didn't perform very well.

I think that's the "I would never support Nelson" option.

Just win baby. Doesn't really matter how we do it. How about Lark too? By the way too many options for my little mind. Just win.

I think that's the "I would never support Nelson" option.

mmmm... I disagree. I do support Nelson as our quarterback once we have decided it's him. I don't like becoming someone we are not and having no clear identity, and all this so Anae can get his jollies and think he is more important than he is.



I think Anae treats the offense like I "help" my wife clean the house. Instead of both of us attacking an area, I go somewhere else and look for a mess, though that is the one that needs cleaning. Reason is, I don't feel like cleaning much, and I think if I find another one, I will want to clean that more. So I end up cleaning the office, which no one will see, and leaving the front room a mess (I don't do this all the time, mind you. Just when I've had a hard day.)



I think rather than work out the kinks in his offense - yes he has them, quite a few - he would rather just create a new one, and then he has two with moderate gaping holes in them.



Think a vanilla Gary Crowton with half the offensive smarts, but all of the crazy-wanton-video-game-like dreams. [/tangent][/rant]



I like Riley, a lot. If you could clone ten Riley's you would have the hardest working, most "never-quit" attitude offense in the nation. I just hate the way that we are using him, in this round peg square hole fashion.
