FSU Game

Just left a Nole board. There is surprisingly little about the upcoming game this week. They are still going over the Oklahoma game. They are not very worried about BYU and I must say after last weeks pathetic performance why would they be. Here is a quote from the one thread I could find going.



"I think some real concerns should surface if we don’t beat BYU handily. Aside from odd scenarios playing out (injury, fumbles, weather, etc.), I think a margin of 3+ TDs is a very reasonable mark to shoot for."

I fear this game is going to be very ugly. Like 45-10 ugly.

If your boy Nelson takes the majority of the snaps, then I tend to agree with you.

Probably. Although the last time we played FSU in Florida with a pass-first QB we put up all of 3 points, completed 39% of our passes and threw three INTs.

If nelson plays like he did in the second half at air force, it's ugly. If heaps plays like he has in the first two games it's ugly. Somebody has to step up their qb play for us to have a prayer of winning.

Most FSU fans on warchant.com and tomahawknation.com are very down on their team right now with good reason. I don't think most Seminole fans feel any win is guaranteed right now. They are in the same boat as BYU. They're hoping they can bounce back and not let the loss on Saturday affect the rest of the season. The season has barely started and both teams have a lot to play for still.

I found this an interesting comment on BYU fans from a FSU person who traveled to Utah last year.



"After our experiences in Provo, Utah last season, I've heard many Noles refer to BYU fans as "the best." The nicest? No doubt. The best? Doubt it. Sooner fans actually tailgate, actually bar-b-q and drink beer, and offer you said food and beverage. Our band of merry Noles was invited to play corn hole and washers at OU tailgates. Tasty treats were forced upon us. But these folks weren't averse to a little good natured football smack talk, an integral part of the college football experience.



BYU fans are the nicest. Hurricane fans are the most disgusting. Oklahoma fans do it right. I've heard Cornhuskers are the same way."



I really liked the Oklahoma fans I ran into last year. They for the most part are great sports who didn't whine or throw out excuses for losing. I think we were a little too nice to FSU last year as I would much rather treat them like we did Washington. The band plays their song before the game then the team beats them.

did you even watch heaps in the uw game. How can you say he nearly 80 drive to the 4 yard line where anea blew it with play calling was ugly? I have to disagree with that statement as painting with a broad brush.



I think nelson will play more than we think he is going to and i think he will do well. he will do more short passes as plays will be made for him to do that. fsu's pass defense will allow this and he will do fine. Heaps will continue to struggle because he will not be given a chance to get in a rythm.



i am hopeful for this game. I say we win it or it is close. i hope our defense can get some stops. too bad thomas is starting at safety. that is a mistake.

I dont' think either will step up until one of them is made a real starter. It seems obvious to me. make the hard choice and put one of them in a place to succeed arleady bronco.
