The worst is over

I think the must frustrating and disappointing game of the season is over with. I think the game vs Air Force was last year's FSU game. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. I think we'll end up being stronger for this and play a good game vs FSU, win or lose.



Something kinda interesting, Jay Mohr was a guest on 1280 last week and he predicted a loss vs AFA and a win vs FSU. Here's to hoping that Jay is right! Let's go Cougs, beat FSU!

Most teams are subject to a second loss, after an upset loss the week before, FSU falls into the category (so does BYU, kind of). But FSU had national championship aspirations and got whipped bad at Oklahoma. Just as Virginia Tech got worked two weeks in a row, we can do the same to FSU--if Heaps is the QB, otherwise, it's be as bad or worse against FSU.

It also didn't help that we played AFA on Sept. 11th. They definitely were super pumped and motivated and had game-planned for us all off-season long. At least that's all behind us now.

AFA was also planning for this game all of fall camp. They knew BYU was leaving and this was their last shot, they also knew BYU had their number. They were up for this game. They were ready for this game. BYU lead with its chin and got blasted. Now it is time to pick up the pieces (uh um...by sticking with on QB) and start playing BYU football. I think we still can win a number of games and make it to a bowl game. But, at this point we are not going to win the conference nor qualify for a BCS, so why not make the future now and start playing the young talent more now?
