sandiegoblueLike nearly all of you, I was dumbfounded about the AFA game. Many of you have already effectively broken the bumbling drudgery down, so instead I just want to share my TIC hallucination. And perhaps I have a tic that bit be on the neck that I haven't yet discovered that brings me to this swollen wooziness...
So I hallucinate that Nelson was actually prepared all last week for the AFA game to be the main QB and that Heaps was saved to unleash the next week at FSU. I further hallucinate that Bronco & company had too much respect for the military on 9/11 to defeat AFA. I hallucinate that Bronco allowed magic to happen for AFA because he knows his team is so good that they will beat everyone the rest of the year. This AFA game was simply a needed sacrifice for national football karma.
I hallucinate that Heaps will start and play almost the entire game except for a couple short third down plays for Nelson to keep FSU on their toes. I hallucinate that BYU only fumbled and bumbled to remind themselves how not to play next week and the rest of the year. I hallucinate that BYU will win the conference and knock off TCU and Utah later this year. I hallucinate that we don't waste our time with a tackling dummy, but actually hijack Gary Patterson and snip his vocal cords which already seem on the verge of death. Then we brainwash him to appreciate his tender feelings and teach his team to soften up and slow down.
I hallucinate that Utah writes us a thank you note for making the state relevant the last almost 4 decades and helping them on their way to a successful record over the last decade. I further hallucinate that Kyle proclaims his true love for BYU as BYU beats Utah in a shutout rout to end the regular season.
I hallucinate that Nelson and Heaps have an operation to take Nelson's legs and Heaps arm and combine them so that 2 become 1 and we don't have to argue anymore about who will play the next series. I further hallucinate that they surgically wire in the best traits of the All-American QBs from last week's celebration. BYU will take stem cell research in an entirely new direction to combine the best of all of us and rewrite the song for Cum-bay-yah.
I hallucinate that BYU goes BCS bowling. The first time a one defeat Non AQ makes it to such a game (wouldn't that be true?). BYU takes on Florida in the BCS and puts in Lark and Munns just to show we have the 4 best quarterbacks in college football. BYU doubles their score and converts gator nation to try out green punch at future games instead of gatorade.
My last hallucination is that BYU's defense destroys the competition the rest of the way. No team gets more than 50 yds rushing or more than 150 yds passing. We are just that good. But we are humble about it and after games we set up the missionary discussions with fellow foes.
Again, it's all because we just wanted to wait to unleash our waxing strength so that not only AFA could feel our support on 9/11, but also so the rest of the nation would take hold of how dominant Cougar nation is when we want to be.
Oh crud, the hallucination is starting to wear off. Please, somebody add to this and keep this going before reality sets in.
