TCU, AFA, and UU all had convincing wins at home. TCU did what some of the top FBS teams couldn't do, beat an inferior FCS program *cough* VaTech. AFA destroyed a BYU team that fell off the rails with mistake after mistake, which is a bigger game in conference than UNLV's loss in Salt Lake. Perhaps this is what Patterson meant when he said thinngs would happen in conference that BYU didn't know about. Is it much to suspect he had a hand in AFA's game planning for BYU? UU handled a UNLV team that is really just a notch above FCS given where the new coach came from before this year.
SDSU is off to a good start by not losing to a team they clearly should beat early in the season. UW still has to figure out how to play a complete game.
UNM and CSU are just plain awful and should be sent to the Sunbelt conference, if not the Big Sky instead.
