Best Talent vs Best Player (against UW)

Since the topic is out there (thanks to Coach Calhoun and Kyle Gunther) I thought I would try to start a debate about Best Talent vs Best Player (that played against UW) to carry us through the week. Which would seem better than the very aging argument of heaps vs nelson.

So, check out the new thread--who knows maybe its silly, but could be meaty enough to distract posters from three more days of same ole, same ole.

Here are my quick lists. I'd be interested to see others.



Top Ten Best Players that played vs UW(sort of a game MVP/contribution mixed with talent?)

Top Ten Best Talent that played vs UW

Looks good to me.

I think DiLuigi has to crack the top 10 in talent as well. With his ball security problems over the past two years, I think many have forgotten just how gifted this kid really is.



I would slot him at a tie for 6th with Q, and as much as it pains me, drop urroner.

If you drop me, then this whole subject should be dropped. You're just jealous of me. You have always been so jealous of me even in the premortal life and don't deny it and say you don't remember.



You were jealous of my good looks and how I attracted all the pretty girls up there. That's what big brothers do.



So if you want to drop me off the list, go ahead and I won't complain, not one whit, because that is what big brothers do.



And every word I have said is the truth. Just ask Hawkwing. He's not that little teddy bear any more, he's all groed up to be a big teddy bear now.

Thank goodness for the veil - I seemed to have forgotten this story - too busy hanging out with the noble and great ones :-)

I think you have to include Logan in the Top 10 best players on the field. Guy was 2nd in the nation in pass break ups last year with 14, and had 2 more solid break ups v. UW. One in the end zone, another on a deep ball. Also had a near pick. Logan played well for us and deserves recognition. I think we often rip our corners too much, but they were very solid in this game.

I think Pendleton needs to be somewhere on both lists. He was everywhere during the game.

I say, strike Urroner twice from each list. That'll open up a lot of space, plus cool the air quite a bit. ;)

Typed Jorgenson, meant Pendleton. Not sure how I screwed that up. he really looks like a man among boys. I think he'll be back to safety at the NFL level.

Agree on Logan. Had him on, but took him off--melted under perceived peer pressure. :-)
