neither sam meredith or harvey langi will make the SAT scores they neeed for stanford; much the same reason that Brandon Bourbon went looking for a new scholarship after he realized he wasnt' getting in there. Meredith needs a 1600 to get in based on his current grades.

Adding Sampson as a corner/Safety along with Everett as a corner/safety would be sweet, along with Eason, Buckner, Aguirre, Thomas and J'Ray. And won't Nicholson be back, perhaps? Depth in the secondary is a good thing. I hope he signs and that Nicholson can get back academically.

Since Stanford University and Palo Alto are almost inextricably intertwined in interests and location, it is a natural outgrowth of this relationship. The tree still exists and stands by the railroad bridge beside San Francisquito Creek – it is the site where early explorers first camped when settling the area.

Bingo!!! Schmoe is dead nuts right on!! Most sports buffs do not know this piece of trivia. Everyone thinks it's either the tree (as Schmoe wrote) - but - that's the bands mascot. Or, the Cadinal bird - Not! It's the color Cardinal.

Because Mr Stanford's Son (heir) died young so Mr Stanford had to do something with his gobs of money since he had no posterior. ;)

The dude can lay wood.... he's built a lot like former Tennessee safety Eric Berry. 5'11" 200 lbs and has corner skills but safety sensibility. Having the spring to getting him ready to take over for Andrew Rich is ideal.



Our secondary should be solid for years to come. I'm glad Bronco finally embraced the JUCO route for recruiting Dbs. It worked for Lavells best teams.



Someone mentioned getting Brian Logan on as a DB coach when his playing days are over. Not only is that a good idea, but it's a near no brainer. The kid has the perfect attitude, a love for BYU, and he'll command respect right away because he's as good as we've had in 15+ years. He knows how to get the best out of himself, if he can do that with others, we have Brian Mitchell 2.0.

Give him 2 years as a graduate assistant and then make him co dbs coach with Jaime Hill; eventually let Logan have the dbs and Hill just manages the entire D until someone thinks that Hill will be a good enough recruiter to give a head coaching gig to. (there have been a lot of coordinators that couldn't make it as head coaches though; if Hill gets paid what he's worth, it's a pretty safe place to be)
