Bottom Five or so and other miscellany

First the Bottom Five thinks it important to hand out this week's weinie awards:



Tenn and FSU get them for scheduling Tennessee Martin and Samford. Come Tenn if you are going to schedule someone like Tenn Martin at least schedule someone we know like Tenn Williams. And for FSU, we all know that there is deceit behind it: People not paying too close of attention will think FSU walloped Stanford when it is some team called Samford. WUSSES! At least some teams like Va Tech and Oregon State are willing to play tough competition



Now for the Bottom Five



5. Mississippi State. Even with working the magic to get a felon onto their team, they still lose to Jacksonville State at home hahahahaha



4. Oklahoma. Sorry but barely beating Utah State at home should go down as one of the all time most embarrassing wins



3. Kansas. Head coach Tuner Gill got gutted: his team put up 3 points against N. Dakota State



2. New Mexico--they lost 72-0 to the Ducks. The Lobos SUCK



1. New Mexico--when you lost 72-0 you win two spots..I swear if they had put Elizabeth Lambert in the D would have done better



Honorable mentions: Matt Leinert--loser as a QB and a bigger loser as a me-first, self-absorbed, I-am-entitled-to-be-number-one-because-I-was-coached-by-Pete Carrol sort of dude who DOES NOT GET IT!

Reply to Miscellany: Maybe I should go into business making "university" football teams with names that sound just like big name or semi-big name programs. A few ideas: Denn State (from Dennver CO), Norte Dame (you know, from North Bend, IN), USC (university of soft cauliflower, sort of an ag-tech school), Bose State (if the company that makes the little speakers doesn't sue), and BYU-Idaho.



5) That's Karma, Kaveinga ghost would have haunted Ole Miss for years if they hadn't lost

4) I nearly spilled my kool-aid when I say that USU was down 7 and driving in the 4th qtr. Is this proof that USU is on the rise, proof that OU is down this year, or proof that anything can happen the first week of the season? Hopefully, time will tell.

3) Miss Mark Mangino much? Maybe Gill should verbally abuse his players a little more.

2) Word.

1) Yeah, seriously. Especially with the amount of hair that protrudes from the typical player's helmet these days, Lambert would be like a kid in a candy store.

Great list, as always. Well done, Boise. FYI, it was Old Miss and not Mississippi State that lost to Jacksonville State. That might bump them up (or is it "down"?) a few notches on your list.

LOL! Well Ole Miss gets put into the number five spot but honorable mention goes to Mississippi State for having a team that i've always thought WAS Old Miss....Thanks for catching
