How about Juice in the slot when McKay needs a rest?

McKay Jacobson or Juice?



Juice caught that incredible pass from Riley Nelson in the endzone... Our first TD of the game/year. I honestly believe everyone else would have dropped that bullet.



McKay dropped a pass or two, which he should have caught. I'm not really sold on him.



How about putting Juice in the slot?



Which two are the fastest? I know speed isn't everything, and perfect route running is the way to go, but I was impressed with Juice and want him on the field more than just being 3rd string RB.

I am excited for what Juice may be able to do in the future. However, in my opinion McKay is our best receiver right now. He missed a couple but he usually has great hands and speed. Plus, he runs the routes correctly from what I can see. As the season goes on, I expect him to be one of the leaders in receiving in the Conference.

Wow, really? Juice is going to be our feature back soon enough, so why put him in the slot as a receiver?



Amazes we how people react after 1 game and a couple of plays. Long ways to go.

Are you serius? You know that if you don't use the "TIC" no one can tell if you are Joking. The pass that Quezada caught his route came from the back field, he is a running back not a slot reciever.



Not only that but the "bullet" you are referring to was thrown from Riley Nelson who is left handed rolling to his right....and he was throwing back to his left. It was far from a "bullet"

I'm not totally saying replace McKay at the slot. I'm wanting to see more of Juice and just thinking of ways to put out him on the field more.

Not to get on you too much, but your original comments were that Mckay drops passes and Quezada does not. You implied that Mckay should be benched because of this. I am always shocked at how BYU fans react when wins aren't as pretty as they want them to be (which is 99.9% of the time). BYU actually WON on saturday. Their defense played GREAT, their offense was better then I expected. Bronco is already working on the issues that he saw from the offense and defense to clean up the mistakes in the game. Instead of negativity this week, we should be excited that our young team is playing really well already and is only going to get better.

Yes BYU won. There were good things. There were bad things. We can always improve, so I'm think we could use Juice at slot.

I think training him in the slot would cause his learning curve at the RB position that much steeper, and why are we doing this? Because our top reciever dropped a couple balls and Quezada caught the only one thrown to him? Come on, i agree that our team didn't play perfect but this Idea (IMO) is nearly as assinine as the people that wanted to bench Max hall in favor or Nelson last year when max threw a couple of interceptions early.

I though JD Falsev was back up in the slot. Not sure I even saw him on the field at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Hoffman get some slot calls as well. I seriously think we underutilize our outside WRs, and would love to see BYU move the big guys inside occasionally. And hoffman does look really good to me, love his size and speed combo.

Absolutely agree. Hoffman has looked amazing out there on the field in practice.

McKay Jacobsen never needs a breather, the air needs him.

We'll be seeing a lot more of Juice. We have gotten so excited about this class of players that we tend to forget that they are just freshmen, and that we have some pretty good talent already in the program. JJ has never had a chance to shine, but is showing that he is a pretty good RB. Juice's chance to shine is coming.
