As long as we don't get to the superconference era the Independence route works just fine. I have enjoyed watching games on ESPN and wouldn't mind watching all the games on Friday nights--when its the only game on TV.



I think the fear is getting left behind again, but I think BYU ends up OK either way. Produce great football, and it won't matter. We have produced great football in the past with less talent. We can do so again.



Seriously, its not like we cheer for our team because they are likely to win a national championship. That has only happened once. We root for them because they are entertaining and we enjoy watching their success. They can still do that as independents, and the fact that we are on ESPN practically every week is a great recruiting tool. We'll be OK either way. But I tend to see the glass half full.

Probably very similar to the reaction we'd see after being in the big 12 for a year and very few nationally tvised games.
