What will the week 2 rankings look like?

I figure BYU will crack the top 25 in the coaches poll but might not quite get there in the AP.



Pitt looked horrible and will drop completely out IMO. North Carolina lost in a squeaker against LSU despite missing many key players but unless I'm mistaken, they'll be without most of not all of those missing the rest of the season, so they should drop though maybe not too far just yet. Oregon State lost but despite putting up a fight against TCU, should still drop behind the Cougars. Cincinnati got beat by Fresno State. And there were quite a few BCS programs that we still don't know much about because they played lower division teams.



BYU should get rewarded for making everyone's Heisman and NFL draft projected #1 look so pedestrian.

BYU will be ranked somewhere between 20-25. I highly doubt we are still unranked, and I really highly doubt we're ranked any better than 20.

I think it will take another week to get into the top 25.

Yeah, I don't think we get ranked either. And I bet voters next week decide to wait and see about the FSU game too. So, it might be after the FSU win that we get ranked.

well, after watching the first quarter I wouldn't be surprised to see Boise at #1 or #2 in some polls. They are owning VTech.

I'm not worried about Air Force. I'm not looking ahead to FSU, mind you. I'm just not concerned about a loss to the fly boys. Bronco knows hows to beat Air Force. In fact, I'm not worried about any MWC game outside of TCU and Utah. Bronco doesn't lose to other MWC teams than those two.

I hope were not ranked until after fsu. Best to be underrated I say.

When do the next polls come out?

I bet we see Boise in the top 3 in all polls and I expect them to be getting a lot of #1 votes this week. Clutch final drive by the donkeys.

BSU should move up. I expect to see the polls in the morning.

No way BSU moves down, when they beat "#10" and everyone else was playing patsies...



We are on the bubble this week... aren't we like 30+ in the polls right now? Like 38th?

Take a look at the preseason voting in the coaches poll. BYU was #28 and 4 teams ahead of them will drop. Even if Notre Dame jumps us (Which they don't deserve) for beating Purdue, BYU would be in at #25.



And frankly BYU deserves it after 4 straight years of finishing in the top 25.

Just like I thought. BYU jumped Cincy, UNC, Pitt, and Oregon State in the coaches poll though Arizona jumped as after beating Toledo, who went 5-7 last year, on the road. That puts us at #24. AP hasn't been released yet.



I was also excited to see teams like Florida and OU drop for poor performances at home against traditionally weak teams and LSU not get a bump for barely squeaking by UNC who was missing 12 of their best players.
