DeMarcus Harrison was there this week

What a great weekend for BYU; I can't imagine that Demarcus didn't enjoy every second of it.

I'm not sure what his schedule was; I would assume he did. Demarcus doesn't have a facebook page for me to stalk 8).

I sent out some feelers to Jeremiah Hartsock to find out. (Both Hartsock boys got married this summer so they don't respond as fast as they used to... )



Since Demarcus is LDS, he might still be in Provo and going to church with the boys tommorrow; never a bad time for a kid to check out all the gorgeous ladies.

A lot of times, the non-LDS kids fly home late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and often the LDS recruits stay longer on the weekend.



TBS has nothing about it right now. (I swear if I ever move to Utah, I'm taking over TBS's hoops forum just so people can get minute by minute hoops news. Sadly Jay Drew is often days and weeks ahead of TBS when it comes to hoops and AAU coverage)



A couple things I'd like to know is if DeMarcus intends on a mission and if he plans on early enrollment. He's likely already eligible to play college ball due to his taking an extra year in a prep school. (I also don't know when his prep school finishes their season. Sometimes those prep schools play heavy december schedules and are done by early- to-mid January, (some prep schools dont' even have an actual championship to play for at the end of the season; their championships are the December national tournies), while high school teams can be playing in March in state playoffs). Obviously early enrollment isn't nearly as crucial as it is for football, but it doesn't hurt either, particularly for weight training.



Regardless, I hope and pray it was a successful weekend.

Somebody over on rumorboard said he was staying and going to a singles ward on Sunday.



Wrubell is reporting that DeMarcus will likely be attending TWO BYU football games this year...



"Interestingly, Harrson will visit Florida State the same weekend the BYU Football team plays the Seminoles in Tallahassee."



I sure hope we return the Florida State favor this year, for more reasons than one!!!

If he wants to stay close to home, I guess I get the Clemson pick; although their fans really don't care much about their hoops. Florida State makes very little sense, and Marquette offers nothing that BYU can't.



These are not schools that I fear competing against for LDS recruits, especially once DeMarcus got to see our campus and meet everyone. We lose Jimmer and Jackson after this year so it certainly makes sense for an athletic high major player to come in and play early too.

I live in North Carolina. I should see when his games area and go watch him play and wave a BYU flag. I think he school is far away from where I'm at though (Raleigh).
