Lienart To Be Released By Cardinals Today, Hall is Backup QB

The Cardinals have decided to release Matt Lienart today. Derek Anderson to be the starter and Max Hall to be the Backup QB. Nice!...and Max Hall still hates the :utard: 's.

For an undrafted free agent rookie to be so good that a team is willing to give up their former 1st round pick and Heisman trophy winner, is amazing.



Maybe Leinart should have spent more time learning behind Kurt Warner instead of hanging with boy bands in the clubs. (btw - is there any doubt that Kurt Warner should be in the hall of fame now? The only time the Cards have ever been a viable franchise, was with Kurt running the show)



Bronco said that Max is the most competitive person he's ever been around; apparently he wasn't joking.



Too bad hard knocks wasn't following the Cardinals this preseason; it would have been a heck of a lot better than the Rex Ryan show. (Rex is the only interesting thing this entire season)

Rumor is that Pete Carroll might be after leinart now.



That would be the 2nd time that Matt got paid playng for Snake Oil Pete.

I get that Leinart was a product of a cheating system at USC and the national sports media, and a lot of talent around him, but even so, he has played horribly. If Pete was wanting a reunion, makes me wonder if Leniert made himself expendable through poor performance, so he could pull off the shaky deed and get to seattle.

In the halftime of the Purdue Notre Dame game Peter King from SI talked about how Max Hall was the best quarterback in camp for the Cards. Great stuff. Oh, and 1 hour 45 minutes to go...

Someone remind me about Arizonas O-line. We know they have the receivers and some decent backs. (they also have a decent D). If the O-line is good, then I too would like to see Anderson go down by week 10.

I'm not sure Carroll goes after Leinart. The Cardinals released him because they couldn't trade him. Nobody wants him. Too bad for a former #11 overall. Just goes to show you the hype you get when you have mounds of talent around you. Could you imagine how Beck, or even Hall would have looked with that USC offense?

We don't even need an injury... All we need is for Anderson to play like he has played the last... 5 or 6 years. When your qb rating comes pretty close to your age, you might be in a bad position...

If Hall gets any time in the season opener against the Rams...it would be AWESOME!

Just noticing that they have Max as the 3rd string on their depth chart today....He showed Skelton up badly the other night so I can't see that being true for long...

That's probably a ploy to attempt to low ball Max on his contract. There's no way they're going to let him start the season without extending him. He's shown he's worth more than the minimum and could be worth a lot more in the free market.



They did give up quite a bit of their leverage when they released Leinart. Backup qbs in the NFL average well over a million a year and Max has already proven he can handle that job, and possibly more...

He has a contract, 3 years I think. They are talking about extending him so that they don't lose him when he would be prime to be a starter.
