I think they probably pranked him having already decided that he's going to make the cut and is on the team. I would be shocked if they pranked him like that and got that much enjoyment from the prank and then turn around and cut him or place him on waivers. I think all the coaches are super excited about his upside potential. He's played too well in camp and in the preseason games (arguably as well as the other three QB's) to take the chance that another team picks him up on waivers. Would you agree?

Yeah, they told Max that he made the final roster, although there are still 2 players left for them to cut.

Oddly enough, another undrafted free agent named Max also made the roster, a WR out of Idaho. Hall threw him a TD pass in a game a few weeks ago.
