Poll: Biggest Concerns about Independence

I thought it would be interesting to make a poll about legitimate concerns for being independent. I am cautiously optimistic that everything will work out, though we all know there are still a lot of questions and time will only tell how well everything works out.



What are your biggest concerns about independence?

There is no option that says "I'm not concerned about independence" therefore I did not vote.

The options "No conference championship" and "Early losses rendering the season meaningless" are the same in my mind. The only reason why I care about conference championships is that it gives the team something to shoot for even if early games take them out of the BCS race.

Everything will work out and I'm estatic about the rebroadcasting rights, but it does suck that there will be no conference championships and no all-conference players. But that's the concession that we make to move the football program on to bigger and better things. BCS thing will work itself out.

OK, added a new option to the poll based on instant feedback! I think I screwed up all the votes though....

While I will miss saying "we're conference champions" x number of times,



If anything, all the games count now, since our end of season ranking is all that matters. Must impress voters at all times to get to that magical top 14- rating so that we can be selected for BCS bowls ahead of any MWC team ranked higher than us.

We just stepped the game up for all schools. The BCS will never be able to deny us or see our value to college football. Going independent is the smartest thing we could have ever done.

Where's the option that reads "I will continue to stick around and flame BYU and mock their decision to go independent"? :P
